We are 98 days away from the 2017 Auburn Football season opener against Georgia Southern, and to celebrate this we are honoring former Auburn defensive tackle #98 Angelo Blackson. Mr. Blackson graduated from Auburn University in December 2014 with a degree in Sociology. While attending Red Lion Christian Academy, in Bear, Delaware, Angelo had the opportunity to play in the Underclassman Combine All-World Gridiron Classic. During his senior season in high school, he made 40 tackles including three sacks, three forced fumbles, and two pass deflections. His career at Auburn began in 2011, where he played in all 13 games as a true freshman. As a sophomore, Angelo blocked a Mississippi State field goal attempt, which happened to be the first field goal block from auburn since 2009. In his junior season, during the 2013 BCS title game, Angelo forced a Florida State fumble. During his senior season here at Auburn, he had his fourth blocked kick, was invited to the Medal of Honor Bowl and the NFL Combine. Angelo Blackson was drafted in 2015 by the Tennessee Titans in round four, where his is currently in his third season as a defensive end.
