Former Auburn Golfer Patton Kizzire Notches Second Career PGA Tour Victory at the Sony Open in Hawaii

By | Auburn University News, ESPN 106.7 News | No Comments

It took a tournament record six sudden death playoff holes, but former Auburn golfer Patton Kizzire defeated Californian James Hahn to capture the Sony Open in Hawaii on Sunday.

The victory makes Kizzire the only multiple PGA Tournament winner this season. His first career tour victory came at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in Mexico last November.

Kizzire, a 2008 Auburn University graduate, is now the 2017-2018 FedEx Cup Points leader. He earned $1.1 million with Sunday’s victory.
