Auburn High Defeats Mary Montgomery 66-7 At Home

small 51735278c580a.imageAuburn High improved their record to 5-1 on Friday night after a 66-7 destruction of Mary-Montgomery on Friday night. Auburn running back Garrett Morris had a three yard rushing touchdown in the first, then after an Avery Atkins field goal Auburn quarterback Brooks Fuller found Trey Elston for a 28 yard touchdown to give the Tigers an early 17-0 lead in just the first quarter. In the second quarter, Fuller again found Trey Elson for a 12 yard touchdown to improve the lead to 24-0. Mary-Montgomery responded with a passing touchdown to slim the lead to 24-7, but then Jay Walker scored a pair of touchdowns before halftime to make the score 38-7. Walker scored another rushing touchdown in the third quarter, then Josh Norris, Kewontae Wiggins, and Abdul Mohammed each added a rushing touchdown to make the score 66-7.

AHS on WingsAuburn High gets a bye week this Friday, but will open back up with region play again against Robert E. Lee High School on Friday, October 13th at Duck Samford Stadium. The Auburn High Football broadcast team of Scott Bagwell, Blake Ramsey, and Noah Gardner will have coverage of the game beginning at 6:30 on Wings 94.3.
